Who we are
About ElevAsian
ElevAsian is a nonprofit community basketball platform that celebrates Asian youth athletes in BC. Basketball is the vehicle. The mission is representation, belonging, leadership, and pride. Everything we make is built by the community it serves.
Year 1 brought 41 of BC's top Asian student-athletes to one floor at Killarney Secondary, in front of 500+ people and 1.5 million views on social media. Year 2 runs October 10, 2026, with a youth camp in the morning and the girls and boys all-star games in the evening.
Meet the founder
Kobe Li
I'm a 2024 graduate of Port Moody Secondary and now study biomedical engineering at McMaster University.
I started ElevAsian to build the platform I wish I had growing up, a stage where Asian youth athletes in BC are celebrated for who they are, on the court and in their community.
